Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2025

1. Introduction

NotariCY is a digital certification tool that works entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store or transmit personal data to external servers. This document explains with transparency how data is processed.

2. Data processed in your browser

All information (files, metadata, geolocation, handwritten signature, author photo, SHA-256 hash) is processed locally via JavaScript. No data leaves your device unless you explicitly send it by email.

3. PDF report generation

The PDF report is generated client-side using the pdf-lib library. The resulting file only exists in your browser memory until you download or share it.

4. Report export

If you send the report by email, the data is transmitted to our email provider (Brevo SMTP) solely for delivery. We do not store copies of the report or the recipient's email address.

5. Cookies

NotariCY does not use its own cookies. However, we may display ads through Google AdSense, which may set cookies to personalize advertising content. You can manage these cookies through the consent banner.

6. Local storage

We use localStorage only to remember your theme preferences (light/dark) and cookie consent status. We do not store files or certification data.

7. Security

By processing everything in the browser, we eliminate the risks associated with centralized servers. Your file never leaves your device unless you decide so. The SHA-256 hash is also computed locally.

8. Your rights

Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no information to delete or export. You can clear local data by clearing your browser storage.

9. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this policy. Any changes will be published on this same page with the revised update date.
